- Account information: name, email, username, password, and profile details you provide.
- Reading activity: books you swipe, save, review, track, and the clubs you join.
- Chat and club content: messages, posts, and interactions in clubs and chat rooms.
- Device information: device model, operating system, crash logs, and approximate location (country/region).
- Payment information: handled by Apple and Google for in-app purchases — we do not store your card data.
3. How we use your information
- Operate and improve the Service.
- Personalize recommendations and club suggestions.
- Power the Social Media Manager and discussion prompts.
- Communicate about updates, subscriptions, and support.
- Detect fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with trusted service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics, payment processors) who help us run BookBlend, and only to the extent necessary. Content you post in public clubs or chat rooms is visible to other members.
5. Generated content
BookBlend uses automated tools to help generate discussion questions, social media content, and recommendations. Inputs you provide may be processed by trusted third-party providers under strict data agreements. We do not use your private messages to improve or train these tools.
6. Your choices
- Access, update, or delete your account from in-app settings.
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time.
- Control push notifications via your device settings.
7. Data retention
We retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Deleted accounts are permanently removed within 30 days, except where we must retain data to comply with legal obligations.
8. Children's privacy
BookBlend is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
9. International users
BookBlend is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S. and to the processing of your information under U.S. law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
