Pickup & Refunds

BookBlend Bags are currently sold in person at a local park every Saturday. You can come build your bag with us live, or pre-order on the site and pick it up at the park. Any questions? Email BookBlend1@outlook.com.

We email or text the park location and pickup window on Saturday morning.

Build or pre-order

Show up and build a bag with us, or pre-order online and we'll have it ready.

No-show, no problem

Missed pickup? Just email us — we'll hold it for the next Saturday.

1. What we sell

  • One-Time Book Bag — $64.99: a single curated cozy reading kit (book, journal, cup, tea or coffee, bookmarks, stickers). Pickup in person.
  • Bag Subscription — $59.99/month: a new curated Book Bag every month, ready for pickup. Auto-renews until cancelled.
  • App Membership — $9.99/month: a digital subscription to the BookBlend app. No pickup needed — access is instant.

2. How pickup works

  1. Build in person: come find us at the park on Saturday, build your bag live, and pay on the spot.
  2. Or pre-order online: buy a Book Bag or start a Bag Subscription on the site any day of the week.
  3. Saturday morning: we email or text the exact park location and pickup window for that day.
  4. Come say hi: pick up your bag, hang out, chat books.

Pickup days are currently Saturdays only. Shipping is on the roadmap — email us if you'd like to be notified when we start mailing bags.

3. Missed pickup

  • Couldn't make it Saturday? Email us — we'll hold your bag for the next Saturday at no extra charge. We can hold for up to 3 Saturdays in a row.
  • Need someone else to pick up? No problem — reply to your confirmation email with their name and we'll hand it over when they arrive.
  • Bad weather day? If we cancel for weather we'll email everyone and roll pickup to the following Saturday.

4. Damaged or missing items

We pack with care, but if something in your bag is damaged or missing when you open it:
  1. Email BookBlend1@outlook.com within 14 days of pickup.
  2. Attach a photo of the damage or what's missing.
  3. We'll either swap the item the next Saturday or refund just that item — your choice.

5. One-Time Book Bag refunds

  • Before pickup: change of mind? Email us before your scheduled Saturday and we'll cancel the order and refund in full.
  • After pickup: because each bag is hand-built around you, we don't offer change-of-mind refunds once you've taken it home — but the damaged/missing items policy above still applies.
  • Refunds return to your card in 5–10 business days.

6. Bag Subscription — cancel, skip, refund

  • Cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing us. Cancel before the next billing date and you won't be charged again.
  • Skip a month: email at least 3 business days before your next charge and we'll skip the month for free.
  • Charged but bag not yet built? Email within 24 hours of the charge for a full refund of that month.
  • Already picked up? That month is non-refundable, but cancelling stops every future charge.

7. App Membership — cancel & refund

  • Cancel anytime from your account. Access stays active until the end of the current billing period.
  • 7-day refund window on the first charge if you've barely used premium features.
  • Subsequent months are non-refundable — cancelling stops future renewals.

8. How to request a refund

Email BookBlend1@outlook.com with:
  • The email used at checkout
  • Your order or subscription confirmation number (in your receipt)
  • A one-line note about what you'd like us to do

We aim to reply within 1–2 business days. Refunds land back on your card in 5–10 business days.

9. Chargebacks

Please email us first before filing a chargeback — 99% of issues are solved in a single email, and chargebacks make things slower and more expensive for everyone, including future readers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Pickup & Refunds policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will always show the current version. Open orders and active subscriptions are honoured under the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
